Bye- bye Daddy!! I'll miss you!

Jesse's flight leaves at 6am tomorrow morning. We are all really sad but trying to stay positive. We will see each other every three weeks from now until Aug.15. Jesse will buy a motorcycle soon probably Monday. He is pretty excited about that. We've had a fun busy week with him home. We went to the park a few times, flew kites, Jess put in a sparkler system, took our car in to get fix, had repairs done on the house. It really has been busy. More sad news Jesse's computer broke so he has to take mine tomorrow & I'll pick up his when it's fixed, so no blogging to past the time. Although I did get a Y membership & I am loving it!!

Now that you been forewarned enjoy! This is an old clip of Makenzie when she was 2 years old. She really liked frogs but it took us a while to figure out that was what she was saying. Once we figured it out we had a little too much fun with it.

Chester, my first baby

When we were trying to get pregnant for the first time it took a while, like nine months. It seemed so long to me, at the time. Jesse felt bad for me because I'd cry about it, so he got me the cutest basset hound puppy. I got pregnant a month later, it's all thanks to Chester. When we moved to Nashville we weren't sure what our living arrangements would be like or how Chester would do with a drive across the country. We ended up giving Chester to some friends that had a dog already that needed a friend. Broken hearted I gave Chester up. I still miss him a lot and it's been 2 years. (I better get to have Chester Copper- pot in heaven.) This is a tribute to Chester. Although, this is also a tribute to one other person, our dear friend Tiffany. Jesse has been friends with Tiffany & her husband since Jr. High school. We love Will & Tiff & miss them too, so it's ok that Tiffy calls him an idiot.

Here's Why...

You maybe wondering why I post a new page ever other day, it's because I am bored out of my mind. We only have one car & with gas being so expensive these days I only take Jesse to school once a week. So, I am stuck inside all day long with a bored three year old & a three month old. Some of you may be thinking you'd like to be home all day, but I don't get anything useful done by being home. I can't exercise because Makenzie thinks I am jungle gym when I am on the ground. She tries to exercise with me but only ends up in my way. I can't go on walks because it's still pretty cold for a baby, & our neighborhood isn't good for walking(no place to go)I can't listen to Conference Talks cause of all the questions coming from the three year old. So, really all I can do is take pictures, watch Little Mermaid for the 500th time or make hair things. The only good news about Jesse being gone is I get the car.


She is incredibly fun to photograph all I have to do is smile & say how's my girl, & this is what I get.

True story not coached one little bit by her mom, I am serious. This morning Makenzie said she wanted to pick out her outfit. She picked this, & proudly said "I am fancy Nancy Drew". I laugh she continued "you know the one with long hair she's pretty... you know the mooovie, mom!"

Now, the reason why so many pictures of my girls... their just so stink' in cute! They are my reward for going through life not cute. Have you ever notice how some of the prettiest people have not so cute kids maybe even kind of weird looking. I am serious I was watching the news last night, there was a story about two kids, & they were the prettiest kids I've ever seen including mine. They showed the parents later not even a little bit good looking. This of course doesn't apply to all of the crazy pretty people I know some of you have it all. OK, friends you've got to tell me, have I crossed the line?

our quite weekend

In less than one month Jesse will be moving to Denver for the summer. I am staying in Nashville. He'll come home a few times and I'll go there for two weeks, but other than that we won't have him around. I am getting a little sad about it but it's only for the summer, right. He has been really busy this semester with classes and law review so we're trying to get some family time in but there's not much time for that either because he's studying for finials. This weekend was nice. He study on Saturday but took breaks to fly the kite with Makenzie. It was so sad Jesse said he was going to do homework & makenzie just lost it ran to him hugged his leg crying no daddy you always go to school. She not going to do well with him away. I am very proud of him. It seem like everything he does for school is just great work. He had a professor look over a paper that's due soon and the professor asked him to be his research assisted next year. He can get paid for it or credit.

we went to a dinner party sat. it was the first time Makenzie hasn't been glued to my leg in a big group. she is just doing so much better since her surgery. she was running around playing talking to other people. makes me so happy! jesse's sister came for a visit & did our hair. she did a great job & i am so grateful. getting your hair cut & colored is so expensive. that sound like she charged me she didn't.
